Off to a GREAT Start! School has started and it’s nice to hear all the laughter in the hallways. Charlo teachers worked hard preparing their classrooms for students and they look great! Sports Physicals: It’s not too early to think about sports physicals for the 2024-2025 school year. Logan Health, St. Luke’s, and St. Joseph’s are all hosting physical clinics this Summer and are available to contact for appointments.

We are a Grateful Staff! On behalf of the entire staff, I want to thank all the parents, community members, and local businesses who made Staff Appreciation Week a memorable one. The show of appreciation that was felt this week was amazing. Educators are a special breed. They want to help kids and do not ask for much. It’s that little recognition from people who appreciate their effort that goes a long, long way. It’s reassuring. It’s rejuvenating. Thank you all that contributed with a meal, a snack, a donation, a treat, a beverage, or a thank you note!
Staff Appreciation Week: It takes every school employee to make it all work in any school system. Teachers are the backbone of education and we have some of the best! We also have tremendous support staff as bus drivers, cooks, paraprofessionals, custodians, secretaries, IT, trustees, and substitutes. I am sure all of us can remember someone during our education that made a difference. I was lucky as I can think of many teachers, coaches, and other school staff that made a difference in my younger days. I hope you can all say the same. If you are able I would encourage you to reach out to that former teacher or coach or bus driver and tell them they were important in helping you grow as a person.

THANK YOU! The Junior Class, with donations from Lake Seed and help from Rodney Thorne, were able to give away over 3000 lbs of potatoes this week!
Question of the Week: Where does the money go for things like “Hat Day”, Participation Fees, Annual Athletic Fees, student store, etc?
4th Qtr: The 4th qtr is going by fast. Next week is Mid Term of the 4th quarter so please be sure to keep up with students grades. Graduation is coming fast. The 4th qtr affects eligibility for Fall sports. Students who fail now find it harder to make up the ground the following year. Please don’t hesitate to contact teachers about student progress.

Graduation takes place at 3 PM on May 26. 8th grade promotion takes place May 28 at 7 PM.

Charlo Book Fair: Book fair in the Library - Apr.l 15-18 from 7:30-10:00; 12:00-1:00; and4:00-6:00 respectively. Buy one, get one free!
Participation Fees Due: All student athletes must pay their participation fees for track and softball before their next competition: for softball that’s tomorrow, for JH track that’s Friday, and for HS Track that’s tomorrow.

Front Doors Locked: Recently we have seen more foot traffic than we are used to around the school on our streets. We have had no issues but for safety reasons we will now have our front doors locked during the day. Visitors will have to buzz in and be allowed to enter the building. This is not uncommon for schools to do this and we feel it’s an appropriate measure to take. It might be inconvenient at first but over time it will become a good safety habit.
Vaccination Clinic: Due to lack of interest the Vaccination Clinic which was scheduled for Apr. 9, it has been cancelled.

Volunteer Firemen’s Dinner: Please support our Charlo Volunteer Firemen on Apr. 13 from 4:30-7:00 for a tri tip roast dinner. There will be a live auction with raffle drawing to follow.
