Pearl Harbor: Today marks the anniversary of one of the most infamous days in world history when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. It is always good to take stock of such occasions remembering the sacrifice of the sailors, soldiers, and airmen killed on that fateful day.

**Arlee is having a tough time finding people to help work games so there have been daily changes this week to the Junior High Girls BB Tournament. The latest we know of is that our girls play at 10:30 AM on Friday. We recommend talking to your players and coaches for the most up to date places and times.**

**There have also been daily changes to the High School BB Tournament in Deer Lodge/Anaconda because of schools unable to field teams. The latest we know is that the JV teams play at Noon on Friday and the Varsity teams play at 4 on Friday but this could change again before the day ends. We recommend talking to your players and coaches for the most up to date places and times.**

Winter Sports: We will need help with score clocks, shot clocks, scorebooks, and ticket taking for basketball. If you can help us out please contact the office 644-2206 or email [email protected].

Track Coaching Opening: Charlo School District 7J has a coaching opening for Assistant High School Track for Spring 2024. If you are interested in the position you can download a district application on the school website https://charlo.k12.mt.us/. You can also stop by the office to pick up an application. If you have any questions call Steve Love at 644-2206 ex 230.

Athletic Schedules: We do not put out an athletic schedule for high school basketball as there are too many changes on a weekly basis. The reasons for those changes are teams who cancel JV games, shortage of referees, lack of bus drivers, etc. Already, Alberton has cancelled their entire girls basketball season due to lack of interest. The best way to keep up with the basketball schedule and the school schedule for that matter, is to get on our school website which is https://charlo.k12.mt.us. At the top of the page click on calendars and you will then see a current monthly calendar. Changes in times and places are made on that calendar. As always please call the office 644-2206 if you have any questions.

Substitutes: We are so grateful for those on our substitute list but that list is a pretty short one. If you have any interest in helping us out, we are always looking for substitute teachers, bus drivers, custodians, and cooks to help fill in when regular employees have to be gone. If you would like to be on our substitute list please contact the office for more information at 644-2206. We could really use the help.

Breakfast/Lunch Bill: Please make sure you student’s meals are paid up in a timely fashion. The best practice is to pay ahead. If you have any questions please contact the office.

Weather Changes: With the change in weather and daylight savings time ending please stay tuned to 750 KERR Radio or follow our school facebook page for the latest updates on possible school delays and/or closures. We try to make decisions by 6:45 AM when there is unfriendly weather or bad road conditions. You can also join our email list by contacting the office 644-2206.

Question of the Week: If I were to donate money to the school, what program needs the most help? Where would be have the most impact?

Anyone wishing to donate money to the school can designate where that money is used. We can always use help assisting students with paying for meals in the lunch program. Assisting students with paying for sports participation fees is another place that is very beneficial. Home Ec and Music are two other areas that people donate money to support those students. Our programs such as Skills USA, HOSA, BPA are 3 other places where a donation would directly benefit students.

If you have a question of the week please email [email protected].
