Non-Resident Student Applications: Non resident student applications are now available in the office. They are due by July 1, 2024. All non resident students whether returning or applying for the first time must apply annually to attend Charlo. You can pick up an application at the office. You can call and request one be sent to you as well. If you have questions please call 644-2206.

THANK YOU! The Junior Class, with donations from Lake Seed and help from Rodney Thorne, were able to give away over 3000 lbs of potatoes this week!

Question of the Week: Where does the money go for things like “Hat Day”, Participation Fees, Annual Athletic Fees, student store, etc?

The recent Hat Day fundraiser collected money for student council. They use the money for the Easter Egg Hunt, Thanksgiving Food Drive, etc. Participation fees go to help pay for overnight expenses for hotels. These fees also pay for meals at tournaments/post season events for junior high and high school. A typical weekend away for a team can be over $3000. Annual athletic fees help pay for administration of home games such as paying for referees, ticket takers, score clocks, etc. A typical night of high school basketball costs upwards of $700 for just the referees if there are 2 JV games and 2 varsity games with 3 man crews from Missoula. Even at that referees still aren’t paid enough. The student store is a money maker for BPA and Skills USA. Money raised from the student store assists those groups with paying for their trips for competitions.

Bonfire Pit: Please do not dump your trash, old lumber, grass, brush, etc on the area the school traditionally uses for its bonfire in the fall. It has become an eye sore. It becomes dangerous not knowing exactly what has been dumped into it. Thank you for you cooperation.

Morning Drop-Off: Please do not drop off students near the JH doors or shop. That area gets congested with staff and school buses. Please just drop off students out front. Thank you!
